Session 1:
July 7th – July 18th , 9am-3pm (M-F)
Session 2:
July 21th – Aug. 1st, 9am-3pm (M-F)
How
Each Session Works: Children arrive
for sign-in at 9:00am every morning (Mon.-Fri.)
for two weeks. After sign-in, the children
work together in assigned groups of 10-20
children rehearsing songs & scenes from
the some of musical theatre’s most
revered classics.
Every day, each group, along
with specifically assigned counselors, rotates
between lessons in choreography, acting,
singing and more as they prepare a final
showcase to be performed free of charge
to friends and family at the conclusion
of the two-week session. All paricipants
also have the option of performing a solo
piece with special instruction by camp instructors.
Through this option, children can hone their
skills performing as both an ensemble member,
and a featured performer.
Also, each
session will be visited by 2 master artists
from the Broadway / Off-Broadway community!
Once a week, an industry professional will
visit the Edgerton Center to meet with the
kids and speak with them about their personal
experience working in theatre.
Overall, participants in the Summer Musical
Theatre Workshop get unmatched exposure
to industry professionals, while nurturing
their talents in an incredible social environment.
Tuition:
$500 per participant
